The Womb of Ama Lurra | The Cave Of The Witches

The Womb of Ama Lurra/The Cave of The Witches is an immersive live performance project which transforms a 360 space into the infamous cave of the Basque country in Northern Spain - enveloping the audience inside ‘Ama Lurra’ - Mother Earth - an ancient cave where the 17th century witch trials took place, witches sabbaths and paganistic rituals were said to have been practiced and ancient significance to the Basque people. 

Drawing on my own Basque heritage and research on the significance of the cave throughout history, from the paeleolithic to the pagan - the cave walls serve as the canvas for something entirely unique in the immersive and moving image space.
